Valentines Day Totally Banned for Muslim But Teenagers Like It :: That’s Culture

Red totally banned around valentines day in Saudi Arabia. An Islamic scholar told the Saudi Gazette, ” As Muslims, we shouldn’t celebrate a non-Muslim celebration.”

Islam prohibits us to blindly follow the West by adopting their customs and traditions such as the celebration of the Valentine’s Day, Celebration of Rose day, Chocolate day, Promise day, Valentine day.

But in our country, lots of Teenage, Younger Muslims have a culture to follow the European and Western culture for lack of the meaning of these days.

Valentine’s Day also known as the ‘Festival of Love’of the pagan Romans dates back to the 17th century, when paganism was on the rise in Rome. The name St. Valentine is given to two of the ancient‘ martyrs’ of the Christian Church.

Above not happened from Islam and all muslim’s best place Makkah.

কিন্তু “Valentine” গোপণে বিয়ে ও প্রেমে উতসাহিত করত। সম্রাট “Clodiaser” একথা জানতে পেরে “Valentine” কে শিরোচ্ছেদ করা হয়। এর প্রায় ১৫০ বছর পর রোমানরা একটি উদ্ভট উতসবের প্রবরতন করে। সেখানে স্বেচ্ছাপ্রণোদিত মেয়েদের নাম লিখে একটি বাক্সে রেখে লটারী করত। এভাবে প্রত্যেক যুবক একজন তরুনীকে এক বছরের জন্য যৌন সঙ্গী হিসাবে বেছে নিতো। বছর শেষে আবার একই নিয়মে নতুন সঙ্গী গ্রহণ করত।
কথিত ছিল এভাবেই যুবক-যুবতীরা রমান দেবতা “Luparcus” এর সান্নিধ্য লাভ করত। এর কয়েক যুগ পর ৪৯৬ খ্রীস্টাব্দে পোপ “Gelasium” লটারী প্রথা বিলোপ করে যৌনতাকে (বেশ্যাব্রিত্তি) আরো উন্মুক্ত করে “Valentine” কে স্মরণীয় করে রাখতে ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারীকে বেছে নেয়া হয়।

তখন থেকেই ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারীকে “Valentine-Day” হিসাবে উদযাপন করে রোমা [Collected]
